Residues of old sealant or other materials as well as mould on the substrate must be removed completely (if necessary, use a silicone remover). To get the best sealing results it is recommended to mask off the edges of the joint with masking tape before applying the sealant\u003c\/li\u003e \u003cli style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eSEALANT APPLICATION: The sealant should be applied to ensure that the seal is filled. Smoothing off the seal ensures good contact between the sealant and the bonding surfaces. Directly after application, smooth off with an UniBond Sealant Smoother Tool. Remove any tape immediately, before the surface skin has formed on the sealant.
