The practical universal wood dowelling set from Wolfcraft consists of a drill gauge, a board clamp, an 8 mm wood drill bit with a depth stop and 40 dowel pins. It is the perfect piece of equipment for all edge-to-edge, corner butt and T-butt joints. You clamp the first board to the workbench using the handy board clamp and drill gauge. Then you position the second wooden board either horizontally or vertically using the two adjustable clamps. The drill gauge not only serves as a board clamp but also as a drilling template. With its paired rows of three drill guide bushes for 6, 8 and 10 mm dowel pins, it enables you to make identical drill holes at the same height. There is also a corresponding guide slot for each of the three dowel sizes for gauging already inserted dowel pins to enable exact positioning of the dowel holes for T-butt joints, for example. The holes in the wooden faces can only be drilled to a maximum depth of 2/3 of the wood thickness, making the depth stop included in the scope of delivery a big help with corner butt and T-butt joints in particular. It can be used to reliably set the drilling depth.
Edge-to-edge joints: For edge-to-edge joints, lay both boards on the workbench on top of one another and clamp them using the drill gauge and the two clamps. Drilling into the paired drill guide bushes guarantees perfectly fitting counter holes on the front edges.
